Movement Practice

HEART CHAKRA.

We look at how we hold physical patterns and tensions in our upper body and energetically in our heart chakra.

This is our space where we connect to the outer world and reflect how we experience self love and trust/love for others. Some things to reflect upon before you move through your practice:

  • Do you close yourself off from people & experiences that intimidate you by making yourself small, shrink, and collapse in your chest?
  • Are you feeling heartbroken like you can’t open your heart or trust others and instead close yourself off?
  • Do you carry the weight of the world on your shoulders and feel tension in the upper back and shoulders?


When you are ready, come to the ground for your movement practice. Make sure you are in a space that feels quiet, comfortable & safe to move freely in and clothing that can move freely with you.



PLAY WORK FOR YOUR DAY:
  • After you complete this sequence, take a bit of time to reflect on what you experienced and write in your journal.
  • Throughout your day, notice what you noticed in your movement and how it shows up in your life. (ie Do you sit in a posture with certain people to protect your heart?)
